The first mobile digital fabrication laboratory

of Castilla-La Mancha.

FabLab Cuenca, the Embassy of United States and the Red Cross in Cuenca collaborate in the creation of a Digital Manufacturing Laboratory on wheels (FabLab Itinerante) that will bring technological innovation closer to rural areas. This traveling laboratory will carry out inclusive activities that are committed to an egalitarian social transformation in the region.

What is this project about?
FabLab Itinerant stands as the first Mobile Manufacturing Laboratory in Castilla-La Mancha. Our mobile unit arrives equipped with all essential tools to conduct training programs, exhibitions, and various events focused on new technologies. Employing a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) methodology centered on "learning by doing," we strive to foster inclusive programs and drive social equality in the region. These programs feature qualified technical personnel and offer an array of activities, workshops, courses, talks, demonstrations, and more.

What is our goal?
Our mission is to introduce technological innovation to rural areas, aiming to bridge the digital gap and nurture local talent. We provide guidance and training in digital manufacturing methodologies, ensuring accessibility and ease of understanding for the creation of tangible objects, whether for personal, local, or business purposes.
